It all started with… drones? In 2016, Jay Bregman and Eugene Hertz founded Verifly to sell “insurance for a day” to drone operators. Insurance for only when you need it! This was a revolutionary concept, and soon people were asking Jay and Eugene to bring it to all kinds of businesses. They knew the nature of work was changing, so they set out to create products that really “get” entrepreneurs. So, we renamed ourselves Thimble to symbolize protection for all sorts of professions. We’ve now grown to offer a full range of coverages by the job, month, or year for over 300 types of small businesses.
